Mull It Over- Mulled Cider Recipe

Afterall it is the season to be jolly, this mulled cider recipe will help keep you warm & enhance the jolly within you.

  • 6 cups apple cider or apple juice 
  • 4 whole cinnamon sticks
  • 3 whole cloves
  • 2 whole star anise
  • Peel from 1 lemon
  • Peel from 1 orange
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • If you are in need of some extra jolly you can always add some dark rum to the mix. 

Take a couple strips of the orange peel and press the cloves into it. Place cinnamon sticks, ground cloves, star anise, lemon peel and cloved orange peel in a medium saucepan. Pour in apple cider/apple juice and brown sugar; bring to a slight boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes.
